Abstract: (1189 Views)
Effect of two types of exercise combined with atorvastatin on AMPK and SYTOCHOROM C expression of cardiac myositis in elderly rats with type 2 diabetes
One of the most common physical problems in old age is chronic diabetes. this issue is more intense and sensitive. Therefore the aim of this study was to investigative the combined effect of two types of exercise with atorvastatin on the on the expression of AMPK and SYTOCHOROM C in the myositis of elderly rats with type 2 diabetes.
Materials and methods:
In this experimental study 35 male rats were divided into seven equal groups: diabetic, healthy control,
Continue+ diabetic, (interval, alternative, periodic) +diabetic, atorvastatin + diabetic, interval+atorvastatin+diabetic,continue+atorvastatin +diabetic
Type2 diabetes streptozotocin STZ was induced in rat
The training groups performed the running program on the treadmill for eight weeks.
Atorvastatin and atorvastatin exercise groups were injected with 2mg/kg atorvastatin.48 hours after the last exercise rat were dissected,
Their heart tissue was removed for the measure AMPK and SYTOCHOROM C .
For statistical analysis, one way analysis of variance and tuky post hoc test at p<0/05 meaningful level were used.
Findings:
The results showed that the induction of type2 diabetes reduced the expression of AMPK and
(p=0/000) CYTOCHOROM C compared to the healthy group.
Administration of atorvastatin alone or in combination with exercise caused a significant increase in the expression of genes AMPA and CYTOCHOROM C (P=0/000) myositis
Conclusion: it’s possible that a combination of intermittent and continues exercise and atorvastatin may positively regulate the expression of genes associated with mitochondrial biogenesis in diabetics.
