Abstruct
Background and Aim: Gender disphoria disorder causes distress or underlying disorder in social, occupational and other important areas and can lead to high After 3 months,- risk sexual behaviors The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of schema therapy and reality therapy on isolation of patients with gender disphoria disorder
Methods: This study was a guasi- experimental study with a pretest - posttest design referred to shirsz forensic physician whose gender disphoria disorder was confirmed and a sample of 45 of them were randomly selected in two groups ( 15 people in reality therapy and 15 people in schema therapy ) and the control group ( 15 people) . were located First, the social isolation questionnaire of Russell et al. (1980). was taken from both groups The experimental groups were then trained in reality and schema therapy for 8 . Also, a significant difference was observed in the inability variable of the reality therapy group with the intervention group of the schema therapy at the level of 0.01. ( p< 0/05 ). sessions and the control group did not receive any training After 3 months, follow-up was performed and the data were analyzed by repeated measures analysis of covariance
Result: There was significant difference in the loneliness component of the control group with the intervention group of schema therapy at the level of 0.01, so the schema therapy approach was effective There was a significant difference in the reduction of loneliness in the control group with the reality therapy intervention group at the level of 0.01, so the therapy approach was effective
conclusion: It showed that schema therapy and reality therapy can be used for people with gender disphoria disorders
