Abstract:   (7985 Views)

Wilm's tumor is the 4th common malignant tumor of childhood (after CNS tumors, Non Hodgkin's lymphoma and neuroblastoma), and indeed comprises about 5% of childhood malignancies.

This is a retrospective study of histologic findings of 23 cases of wilm ' s tumor referred to Mofid Children's Hospital from 1991-1995. 20 Cases were classified as favorable and 3 cases as unfavorable histology .

Correct histologic classification helps better therapeutic planning in these patients.

Although no of cases is rather small, incidence of two histologic types are compatible with other countries.
