Background: Workplace spirituality significantly influences employees' job engagement, making them more committed and attached to their work. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the relationship between workplace spirituality and job engagement among the employees of the Education Department in Torbat-e Heydariyeh.
Methods: This research is descriptive-correlational in nature. The statistical population consisted of 50 employees, and a full census sampling method was employed, selecting all 50 as the sample. Data collection tools included the Workplace Spirituality Questionnaire by Milliman et al. (2003) and the Job Engagement Questionnaire by Kahn (1982). Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the data.
Results: The results showed that since the t-statistic is greater than 1.96 and the significance level is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between workplace spirituality and job engagement. The correlation coefficient was 0.481, indicating a positive and moderate relationship between the two variables. Additionally, 20.7% of the variance in job engagement could be predicted by workplace spirituality.
Conclusion: The findings indicate that as workplace spirituality increases, the level of job engagement among employees also significantly rises, which can lead to improved performance, reduced turnover, and increased organizational commitment. Therefore, it is recommended that educational managers and policymakers strengthen workplace spirituality to help employees feel a greater sense of purpose in their work.
