Background and purpose: The world in this era is undergoing rapid and unpredictable changes. Although these developments have existed throughout the ages, today they are unprecedented both in terms of content and speed. The purpose of this research was to identify the dimensions of inspirational leadership in increasing the organizational trust of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences faculty members.
Method: In terms of purpose, the present research was applied in the "descriptive-survey" type. The statistical population of this research includes all academic members of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, which is equal to 484 people. The number of samples was based on the Krejci-Morgan table (determining the sample size based on the population size) and 214 people were selected by stratified random sampling method according to gender. In order to collect data, the standard questionnaires of inspirational leadership that Bass and Avalio, organizational trust by Payne (2003) were used. In order to examine the research questions and make decisions about the collected data, SPSS and SMARTPLS software were used.
Findings: The t-statistic (t-value) shows the significance of the effect of the variables. If the t value is greater than 1.96 or, equivalently, the p-value is less than 0.05; That is, the effect is significant. Also, if the path coefficients are above 0.6, it means that there is a strong relationship between the two variables; If it is between 0.3 and 0.6, there is a moderate relationship and if it is below 0.3, there is a weak relationship. The confirmatory factor coefficient of mental persuasion in explaining inspirational leadership is equal to 0.865 and the t-statistic is equal to 59.272 and the p-value is less than 0.05. As a result, mental persuasion has a significant effect in explaining inspirational leadership.
Conclusion: The results showed that inspirational leadership has a significant and positive effect on improving the organizational confidence of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences. The dimensions of inspirational leadership in promoting the organizational trust of faculty members include 1. Mental persuasion (4 items), 2. Ideal influence (8 items), 3. Inspirational motivation (4 items) 4. Individual consideration (4 items) have been identified.
