Background & Aims: Sexual satisfaction is one of the factors affecting the stability and quality of married life of couples. Sexual behavior is a combination of concepts, attitudes, experiences, activities, feelings and thoughts that come with it and has different dimensions. Sexual interactions and behaviors are the most basic category that arises in the minds of couples in the marriage bond, but unfortunately, it is the last topic that two people talk about. The first step to determine the marital lifestyle is the sexual recognition of two people from each other, which should happen long before the first sexual interaction. Although the topics of sexual interactions have always been of interest in our religious and Iranian culture, in our current society it has been less discussed. This deficiency may be the reason for people's insufficient ability to form a healthy and high-quality sexual lifestyle and manage their sexual life. The neglect of sexual issues has made not only couples, but also specialists and experts in the field of sexual health face a lack of resources. Despite being innate and spontaneous, sexual behaviors can be learned. Therefore, sexual performance may be described in a different way in a society, and even the formation of sexual behavior for an individual can sometimes be changed. This does not mean that unacceptable behavior does not occur in interpersonal relationships. Some sexual behaviors are negotiated between sexual partners, even if they are culturally intolerable. Gender roles include a person's behavior, feelings, and attitudes toward being male or female or gender role expectations. Reproductive age is the period when a person becomes sexually active with or without marriage. The quality of a person's sexual life is influenced by various factors related to sexual behaviors. The divorce rate in Iran has increased in recent years. Some reports show that 60% of divorces are rooted in sexual relations. Hence, the emergence of the problem; Sexual disorders and its potential negative effects on the sexual satisfaction of couples and finally the quality of life of couples is a hypothesis for examining men's sexual behaviors. A study titled "Relation between sexual satisfaction, marital satisfaction and life satisfaction of couples" reported a significant relationship between sexual satisfaction and marital satisfaction as well as marriage and life satisfaction. One of the ways to improve sexual behavior is to participate in marital enrichment courses. The focus of these courses is on increasing the awareness of the spouses about the positive points of the relationship, increasing the skills in the field of mutual communication with each other, conflict resolution skills, managing financial issues, marital satisfaction, the activities of couples during their free time, the religious beliefs of each party, the relationship between family and friends. The real expectations of each couple from each other are sexual expectations and the role of relatives in married life. Empowerment and preventive programs for couples also refer to any interventions that try to prevent communication and individual dysfunction by reducing destructive communication behaviors and strengthening constructive and useful communication behaviors. In these programs, couples try to think about rebuilding their relationships. Marital relationship enrichment programs vaccinate people against risk factors such as irrational beliefs and maintain protective factors such as positive attitudes and sincere emotional interactions. To a large extent, they strengthen couples' relationships and reduce the rate of divorce. Usually, due to cultural reasons and high sensitivity and confidentiality, research in the field of sexual issues is done with more caution, and in our country, this matter has not been sufficiently addressed, and sufficient research has not been done, especially focusing on men's society. Considering that sexual relations are an important part of a couple's relationship, it is necessary to conduct research in this field. The main question of this research is to what extent the "self-care" enrichment program can play a role in men's sexual behaviors?
Sexual behavior is one of the most important elements in men’s lives. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of packages of sexual behavior of adult men.
Methods: The present study is a clinical trial with a pre-test-post-test design and two follow-up periods of 4 and 12 weeks. This research was conducted in 1402 and on 50 male participants. Men's Sexual Performance Questionnaire was used to measure sexual behaviors. The content of the training sessions of "Self-care" package was on emotional issues. Sexual behaviors were measured at three different times.
Results: The findings showed that the “self-care” enrichment package had a significant effect on improving sexual behaviors. According to the results of the table (3) related to the multivariate tests, it was shown that the effect within the subjects is significant, in the sense that there is a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the composition of the dependent variable with 95% confidence, based on these results, 0.26 of is the total predicted variance; Therefore, it is possible to evaluate each of the dependent variables.
Conclusion: The results of this research show that efforts to hold training courses for the enrichment of marital relations for men can play an effective role on improving their sexual behaviors. Therefore, it is suggested that in the new population policies, educational programs should be developed with the aim of enriching marital relations. In line with the results of the research, which showed that the native package of marital relationship enrichment had an effect on men's sexual behavior, one of the ways to increase the intimacy of relationships between couples is to teach them, and marital relationship enrichment education plays an important role in It acts in this direction. Empowerment and preventive programs for couples also refer to any interventions that try to prevent communication and individual malpractices by reducing destructive communication behaviors and strengthening constructive and useful communication behaviors. In these programs, couples are tried to be vaccinated against risk factors such as irrational beliefs and protective factors such as positive attitudes and sincere emotional interactions and satisfying relationships. This approach aims to deal with marital problems before they become critical, and by training the skills in these programs, the couple achieves new and effective methods that, by applying them, give them better control over their lives. And sometimes they will be effective in strengthening relationships.
