زمینه و هدف: نداشتن فعالیت بدنی همراه با اختلال کارکردهای فیزیولوژی و کاهش مقاومت بدن در برابر استرس اکسیداتیو است. مکمل چای سبز سیستم دفاع آنتی‌اکسیدانی پلاسما را در زمان استراحت و در طول تمرین ورزشی افزایش می‌دهد. هدف از این پژوهش تعیین تأثیر هشت هفته تمرین هوازی تناوبی و مصرف مکمل چای سبز بر شاخص‌های استرس اکسیداتیو دختران جوان غیرفعال بود.
روش‌ کار: مطالعه نیمه تجربی حاضر، در قالب یک طرح پیش و پس‌آزمون اجرا شد. جامعه آماری شامل کلیه دختران جوان غیرفعال (18-15 سال) شهرستان سنندج بود. 30 نفر از داوطلبین، به‌صورت تصادفی ساده انتخاب و به سه گروه 10 نفره شامل تمرین-مکمل، تمرین-دارونما و مکمل به تنهایی تقسیم شدند. برنامه تمرین هوازی تناوبی به مدت هشت هفته، هفته‌ای سه جلسه به‌صورت فزاینده بود. نمونه خونی اولیه در حالت پایه قبل از شروع مکمل سازی و تمرین و خون‌گیری دوم 48 ساعت بعد از اتمام فعالیت 8 هفته­ای جمع­آوری شد. میزان ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی تام (TAC-Total Antioxidant Capacity) و مالون‌دی‌آلدئید (MDA-Malondialdehyde) با استفاده از کیت الایزا اندازه‌گیری شد. از آزمون تحلیل واریانس یک‌طرفه (ANOVA) با آزمون تعقیبی توکی و از آزمون t همبسته با سطح معناداری 05/0 p≤ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: تفاوت معناداری در MDA بین سه گروه مشاهده شد. به‌طوری‌که MDA گروه تمرین-دارونما تفاوت معناداری را با گروه مکمل نشان داد؛ اما در شاخص TAC تفاوت معناداری بین سه گروه در مرحله پس‌آزمون مشاهده نشد. بر اساس نتایج آزمون t همبسته، شاخص MDA در هر سه گروه به‌طور معناداری کاهش یافت اما شاخص TAC فقط در گروه مکمل کاهش معناداری داشت.
نتیجه‌‎گیری: به نظر می‌رسد داشتن فعالیت فیزیکی منظم مشابه یک مکمل ضداکسایشی عمل می‌کند که در شرایط استرس، سلامت فرد را به خوبی حفظ می‌کند و مکمل چای سبز سبب تأثیر مضاعف می‌شود.
