Background & Aims: Marriage and marital relationship is a source of support, intimacy and human pleasure. On the other hand, marriage will cause cooperation, sympathy, interest, kindness, tolerance and responsibility towards the family. Technological, cultural, economic and social changes have played a major role in changing the primary function of marriage, which includes love, affection and intimacy between husband and wife. Emotional divorce is a factor that destroys the foundation of the family and can lead to definitive divorce. This research has investigated the relationship between lovemaking styles, self-esteem and resilience among couples with emotional divorce.
Methods: The research method in this research is correlation type. The research community in this research was all couples with emotional divorce in Kerman city. The sampling method in this research is that the sample size is obtained based on the size of the population in Cochran's formula. And for sampling, treatment centers and clinics in the city are referred to, so that the number of 10 counseling clinics and treatment services is determined, and questionnaires of lovemaking styles, self-esteem, and resilience are prepared and given to couples. It was given that more than 5 years have passed since their marriage and they had an emotional divorce. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The statistical population was all women with emotional divorce in Kerman city. The sample size was 100 people who were selected by cluster random sampling method. The data were obtained by Connor and Davidson (2003) resilience questionnaire and Rosenberg (1965) questionnaire, Hendrick and Hendrick (1986) love styles questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analyzes were conducted for different countries in Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. It is noteworthy that the minimum and maximum alpha obtained from the subscales of love attitudes in the Iranian sample are similar to the work of Hendrick and Hendrick (1998). Their obtained alpha values ranged from 56% for Ludos to 77% for Storg. In the Iranian sample, this change range is from 35% to 79% for Storg. The factorial structure of this questionnaire in Iranian society was investigated by Bayat (2007) and its 6-factorial structure was confirmed. In this study, the value of Cronbach's alpha for the factors of selfless love was 96%, acting 77%, erotic 70%, realistic 67%, friendly 66% and romantic 77%. Data analysis method after data collection, descriptive statistics of mean, median, mean, frequency, percentage frequency and inferential statistics of Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis will be investigated.
Results:   The results were analyzed using the Pearson correlation statistical method, and according to the results, it can be seen that the significant values for the relationship between these variables are all less than 0.05 and significant at the (α=0.05) level. are. Therefore, it can be said that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and resilience among couples with emotional divorce. Also, considering that the correlation coefficients are positive, therefore there is a direct relationship between self-esteem and resilience. that in a healthy relationship, couples feel closeness and affection towards each other, which leads to resilience over time. But when the communication between the couple is cold and indifferent, the relationship is weakened and the trust and confidence between the couple is lost. The couple's commitment to each other is damaged and couples experience emotional divorce. In couples who experience emotional divorce, the couple has low satisfaction with their spouse's marriage and their relationship. The style of loving each other's spouses determines the level of resilience.
Conclusion: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between lovemaking styles, self-esteem and resilience among couples with emotional divorce. In childhood love, we feel dependent on that pleasure or benefit, but in adult love, we feel freedom. One of the most important relationships that people create throughout their lives and expect to satisfy their spiritual need, to love and be loved, is "love". Love has been discussed more than any other topic in world literature throughout history. This is in the institution of a person who loves and is loved, falls in love and has a lover. Love is the most seductive human emotion. Poets, songwriters, philosophers and scientists have all tried to describe this mysterious state, but none of them have succeeded. However, the idea of romantic love still exists and everyone is looking for a wife who, in their opinion, will fulfill the romantic ideal. Therefore, lovemaking styles can be very effective in the level of resilience and connection of a person to life and tie a person to life, and that is why couples with emotional divorce have more lovemaking styles than normal couples.
