زمینه و هدف: تکنولوژیست‌های اتاق عمل به دلیل ماهیت حرفه‌ای حساسی که دارند مدام در معرض اختلالات خواب قرار می‌گیرند و این اختلالات منجر به عوارض جسمی و روانی می‌شود. استرس شغلی یکی از عوامل مهم ایجاد عوارض جسمی و روانی و همچنین کاهش بهره‌وری در تکنواوژیست‌های اتاق عمل می‌باشد.
روش کار: در این پژوهش توصیفی-تحلیلی پرسشنامه‌ها به تعداد 134 نفر از جامعه تکنولوژیست‌های اتاق عمل بیمارستان‌های آموزشی-درمانی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی ایران که به‌صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند داده شد. پرسشنامه‌ها شامل: اطلاعات دموگرافیک، شاخص کیفیت خواب پیتسبرگ و استرس شغلی کاهن و همکاران بود. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها از روش تحلیل چند متغیره استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: ارتباط بین کیفیت خواب و استرس شغلی معنی‌دار نبود (05/0p>). کیفیت خواب و استرس شغلی با هیچ‌کدام از متغیرهای دموگرافیک ارتباط معنی‌داری نداشتند (05/0p>). بین میانگین کیفیت خواب و استرس شغلی افراد متأهل و افراد مجرد تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود نداشت (05/0p>).
نتیجه‌گیری: مدیران پرستاری با آگاهی از نتایج این پژوهش، با برقراری ارتباط صحیح با تکنولوژیست‌های اتاق عمل و حمایت آنان و ایجاد محیط مناسب برای ادامه فعالیت حرفه‌ای تکنولوژیست‌ها از بروز استرس شغلی بکاهند و همچنین برای تکنولوژیست‌های اتاق عمل کلاس‌ها و کارگاه‌های آموزشی، جهت افزایش راهکارهای تنظیم الگوی خواب و مدیریت استرس به‌صورت دوره‌ای برگزار گردد.
