برنامه کنترل و ریشه‌کنی آن در بسیاری کشورهایی که بیماری وجود دارد، اجرا شده است.
مایه کوبی دام‌ها بهترین راه کنترل عفونت بوده و این باید به عنوان مرحله اول در ریشه
کنی بیماری محسوب شود. تب مالت در ایران برای اولین بار در سال 1311 تشخیص داده شد
و کنترل بیماری در جمعیت دامی از سال 1328 آغاز شده است. هدف از این مطالعه ارزیابی

به نظر می رسد مایه کوبی دام‌ها باعث کاهش بروز تب مالت در انسان ها شده است. اگر ایمنی
جمعیت دامی افزایش یابد، قادر به کنترل بروسلوز خواهیم بود. این امر مورد قبول است
که مایه کوبی دام ها موثرترین راه برای این منظور است. ترکیب آموزش بهداشت و مایه کوبی
