<p style="DIRECTION: rtl"> پزشک همواره بهترین مشاور خانواده و مشاوره ژنتیک یکی از مهم ترین و حساس ترین بخش های علم پزشکی است. نابسامانی های ارثی پس از بیماریهای عفونی و تغذیه ای شایع ترین مشکلات بشر هستند، 10 درصد مرگ میر دروان نوزادی و 25 درصد تلفات دوران کودکی ناشی از بیماریهای ارثی است. این بیماریها را می توان در چهار گروه کلی مورد بررسی قرار داده که عبارتند از: بیماریهای سیتوپلاسمی: شامل میتوکندریایی و پراکسی زومال که منحصرا از طریق مادر به فرزندان منتقل می شود. بیماریهای تک ژنی که از قوانین مندل پیروی می کنند: شامل اتوزومی و وابسته به جنس، که انتقال آنها از هر یک از والدین و بسته به خصوصیات ژن مربوطه در 50-25 درصد فرزندان تحقق خواهد یافت. بیماریهای پلی ژنیک و مولتی فاکتوریال که عوامل ارثی و محیطی مشترکا در بروز آنها دخالت دارد و بطور معمول احتمال انتقال .انها برای بار اول 5-3 درصد و در صورت تکرار حدودا سه برابر خواهد بود. بیماریهای ناشی از اختلالات کروموزومی شامل: ناهنجاریهای ساختمانی، عددی و یا جابجایی ها که اکثرا بصورت تصادفی ایجاد و احتمال تکرار آنها بجز مواقعی که سن مادر بیش از 34 سال و یا جابجایی کروموزومی در هر یک از والدین وجود داشته باشد، زیاد نیست.در پایان این مقاله موارد ضرورت انجام بررسی های کروموزومی ذکر می گردد</p>
