This study aimed to investigate the effect of neurofeedback training on executive function (sustain attention, planning and working memory) in elementary girl students with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design. The statistical population included all elementary girl students with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder that referred to counseling centers of Gharchak city in 2015 year. Totally 30 students were selected through available sampling method and randomly assigned to two groups. The experimental group educated 12 sessions of 60 minutes by neurofeedback method. To assess sustain attention, planning and working memory respectively were used from CPT, T-London and N-back computerized tests. Data analyzed with the SPSS-19 software and by multivariate analysis of covariance method. Results: The results showed there was a significant difference in three variable of sustains attention, planning and working memory. On the other hand the neurofeedback training method significantly lead to increase sustains attention, planning and working memory in elementary girl students with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (P<0/01). Conclusion: Regarded the results of this research suggest that therapist and clinical psychologist use from neurofeedback training for increase sustains attention, planning and working memory in students with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder.
