Background and Aim: If we consider the family as the center of mental health of the society and its main core, this base is not only a place to meet the material and spiritual, physical and mental needs of its members, but also a place where the most sincere human emotions and interactions between people are manifested. It is individual. Spouses' mental preoccupations and external stressful sources also weaken the relationship between couples and their emotional distance from each other. Divorce phenomenon does not happen in a moment, but is a process that takes place over time, with many complications and hidden and obvious points. Regarding the change of the spouses' internal attitude towards marriage, researches show that this change of attitude will upset the psychological and emotional balance of the spouses and will cause instability in the family. Communication patterns of couples and how they interact emotionally and psychologically with each other, the attachment style of each of the spouses, which is derived from the important events of their early childhood, as well as the existence of incorrect basic beliefs and schemes in the early life of people. The variables that predict a married person's desire to divorce and his avoidance of secure attachment to his wife. Several factors govern this connection and relationship pattern between couples; the attachment style that couples have learned in their family of origin and their expectations of how to secure this attachment from their spouse are effective in the strength of their relationship. Also, the couples' perception of the relationship and the cognitive distortions involved in it have an effect on the expectations of the marriage contract and the type of their interaction, and the sense of loss, abandonment and lack of emotional security can predict the desire for divorce in couples, which in turn affects the strength of the family and society. It will have a bad effect. In order to better understand and identify the factors that lead to the desire to break up and divorce in married people, it is necessary to carry out special research. Many researches have been done in the field of divorce and the damages caused by it, and solutions and suggestions have been presented to improve the relationship between spouses, reduce damages or prevent the occurrence of separation, and predict the factors involved in it, but the integration of several factors and a wider investigation of the issue is necessary. It seems Marriage and the interaction of couples is also one of the most important situations in which schemas show themselves, the incompatible nature of schemas and the desire for their survival makes people in married life behave in such a way that their schemas are approved; Even if their initial impressions are incorrect. As a result of these processes, misunderstandings and distorted attitudes, false assumptions and unrealistic goals appear in the relationship between spouses. Since there is little information about predicting the desire to divorce in married people based on the adult attachment style, the couple's communication pattern, and the abandonment schema, therefore, the present study aims to investigate the desire to divorce based on the couple's communication patterns, attachment style Adult and abandonment schema was done.
Method: This research is of a descriptive-correlation type. The research included all the married people of Mashhad city, among whom 260 samples were selected by available sampling method and asked to answer the research tool. The data collection tool in this research included 4 questionnaires. The obtained data were analyzed using Pearson tests and stepwise regression analysis.
Results: The results of the research showed that there is a positive relationship between the desire to divorce with the components of expectant man/withdrawn woman, expectant woman/withdrawn man, mutual avoidance, avoidant attachment style, ambivalent attachment style and abandonment schema, and there is a negative and significant relationship with the component of constructive communication. (P < 0.01) and there is no significant relationship between the secure attachment style component and the desire for divorce. Regression analysis coefficients with step-by-step method for the linear combination of the variables expected man/withdrawn woman, expected woman/withdrawn man, mutual avoidance, avoidant attachment style, ambivalent attachment style and abandonment schema, constructive relationship and secure attachment style with desire for divorce. It was significant (P<0.01).
Conclusion: Based on the findings of the research, insecure attachment style, the existence of abandonment schema and incorrect communication pattern can predict the desire for divorce in married people and the attention of treatment methods on these components may be the result. According to the findings of the research that there is a relationship between avoidant attachment style and the desire for divorce, considering that the basis of attachment styles is formed during infancy and also the type of attachment style of people affects their personality and adult life, so parents In particular, mothers are recommended to be trained or learn to raise their children in a secure attachment manner. It is suggested that extensive educational programs be provided for families so that families and young people who intend to start a family realize the importance of the role of communication patterns, attachment style and primary incompatible schemas in the quality of married life and people's desire for divorce. Also, it is suggested for people who grew up in families with functional problems and attachment style disorders, that they must take the necessary medical measures before getting married and creating a new family, and to prevent the transfer of the problems of the father's family to the new family. In general, the results of the research findings show the importance of the initial transformational experiences of people in the family, therapists and family and marriage counselors can take effective measures to resolve the conflicts of couples who are already married and now in They are in the middle of their married life, and they may face conflicts in their lives that they are unable to resolve, and this can increase their desire to divorce. Conflict resolution styles in the current research is suggested to help couples in learning positive conflict resolution styles so that they can use these styles effectively when there are differences in their marital relations, this can be effective in reducing the desire for divorce between them.
