زمینه و هدف: مولتیپل اسکلروزیس (MS) یک بیماری عصب­شناختی است که بر  بسیاری از حوزه­های عملکرد افراد تاثیر منفی دارد. هدف از پژوهش حاضر بررسی اثربخشی، نوروفیدبک بر کیفیت زندگی و اضطراب بیماران مبتلا به MS بود.
روش کار: این  مطالعه به شیوه نیمه تجربی و با طرح پیش­آزمون پس­آزمون با گروه کنترل اجرا شد. جامعه پژوهش شامل بیماران مبتلا به  MSمراجعه کننده به کلینک­های تخصصی بود که 30 نفر از آنها که ملاک­های ورود به پژوهش را داشتند، انتخاب شده و به صورت تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایش و کنترل قرار گرفتند. مقیاس کیفیت زندگی (SF-36) و مقیاس اضطراب اسپیلبرگر، به عنوان ابزار پژوهش بکار رفتند. افراد گروه آزمایش به صورت یک روز در میان تحت مداخله  نوروفیدبک در یک دوره 15 جلسه‌ای، با پروتکل آلفا/تتا که هر جلسه­ درمان 40 دقیقه به طول می­انجامید شرکت کردند، و در گروه کنترل هیچ مداخله­ای صورت نگرفت.
یافته­ ها: نتایج به دست آمده از آزمون تحلیل کوواریانس نشان داد که تمرین­های نوروفیدبک در افزایش خرده مقیاس­های کیفیت زندگی و کاهش اضطراب موفق بوده (01/0p< ) در حالی که تاثیر معناداری بر خرده مقیاس، کاهش محدودیت­های ناشی از ایفای نقش نداشته است.
نتیجه­ گیری: بر اساس این یافته­ها می­توان نتیجه گرفت که تمرینات نوروفیدبک به کار گرفته شده در این پژوهش می­تواند به عنوان یک درمان مکمل و تاثیرگذار بر ارتقاء کیفیت زندگی و کاهش اضطراب بیماران MS مورد استفاده قرار بگیرد.
