زمینه و هدف: از آنجا که باقی‌مانده سموم شیمیایی در محصولات غذایی برای سلامتی انسان­ها مخاطره‌آمیز است، این مطالعه با هدف تعیین غلظت باقی­مانده سموم بنومیل و دیازینون در توت­فرنگی و ارزیابی مخاطره سلامت ناشی از مصرف این محصول انجام یافت.
روش کار: در این مطالعه توصیفی، 30 نمونه توت­فرنگی کشت‌شده در گلخانه­ از بازار مصرف شهر همدان خریداری و به آزمایشگاه منتقل شد. پس از آماده کردن و هضم نمونه­ها، غلظت باقی­مانده سموم بنومیل و دیازینون به روش اسپکتروفتومتری به‌ترتیب در طول‌موج‌های 400 نانومتر و 245 نانومتر در سه تکرار تعیین شد. از طرفی مخاطره تجمعی باقی‌مانده سموم در توت‌فرنگی مطابق مدل مربوطه ارزیابی شد.
یافته ­ها: غلظت باقی­مانده سموم در نمونه­ها (میلی‌گرم در کیلوگرم) برای بنومیل در محدوده 013/0 تا 989/0 و برای دیازیون نیز در محدوده 01/0 تا 416/1 بود. همچنین میانگین غلظت هر دو سم، بیشتر از رهنمود سازمان بهداشت جهانی و اتحادیه اروپا بود. از طرفی هرچند ارزش شاخص MOET با 51/180، بیان‌گر مخاطره تجمعی باقی‌مانده سموم بنومیل و دیازینون موجود در توت‌فرنگی بود، ولی نتایج محاسبه شاخص مخاطره سلامت نشان داد که بر اساس سرانه مصرف کنونی، باقی‌مانده سموم برای مصرف‌کنندگان توت‌فرنگی فاقد مخاطره است.
نتیجه­ گیری: هرچند نتایج نشان داد که مقادیر باقی‌مانده سموم در توت‌فرنگی برای مصرف‌کننده فاقد مخاطره بود، ولی با توجه به استفاده روزافزون از سموم شیمیایی برای تولید محصولات کشاورزی و باغی، برای دستیابی به ایمنی غذایی نسبت به پایش باقی­مانده سموم برای کسب اطلاع از میزان دریافت از طریق رژیم غذایی و اطمینان از عدم مخاطره آن‌ها توصیه می‌شود.
