زمینه و هدف: پروبیوتیک­ها به عنوان میکروارگانیسم­های گوناگونی تعریف می­شوند که دارای اثرات مفید در جلوگیری و درمان شرایط پاتولوژیک ویژه هستند. خواص ضد سرطانی این گروه از باکتری­ها در مطالعات گوناگون به اثبات رسیده است. هدف این مطالعه ارزیابی اثرات ضدتوموری پروبیوتیک­های لاکتوباسیلوس کازیی و لاکتوباسیلوس پاراکازیی کشته شده با حرارت در رده سرطانی K562 لوسمی میلوئیدی مزمن بود.
روش کار: در این مطالعه تجربی، باکتری­ها در محیط کشت اختصاصی در شرایط بی­هوازی کشت و در دمای C°100 کشته شدند. باکتری­های کشته شده با حرارت پس از خشک شدن بوسیله دستگاه انجماد خشک، توسط اتوکلاو استریل شدند. سپس غلظت­های 125،250، 500، 1000 و 2000 میکروگرم در میلی­لیتر از باکتری­ها تهیه و خواص سلول­کشی آنها علیه رده سرطانی K562 در شرایط آزمایشگاهی در زمان­های 24، 48 و 72 ساعت با روش MTT سنجیده شد.
یافته­ ها: نتایج نشان داد که لاکتوباسیلوس­های کشته شده با حرارت به طور معنی­داری (05/0p<) باعث القاء مرگ سلولی رده سرطانی مورد بررسی در تمام زمان­های مورد مطالعه می­شوند و با افزایش غلظت بر میزان سلول­کشی آنها افزوده می­گردد.
نتیجه­ گیری: بر اساس این یافته­ها می­توان نتیجه گرفت که لاکتوباسیلوس­های کشته شده با حرارت، می­توانند به عنوان کاندیدای بالقوه برای مطالعات بیشتر به عنوان دارویی در درمان لوسمی میلوئیدی مزمن مورد بررسی قرار گیرند.
