ABSTRACT This study investigates patients with transient synovitis of Hip in Hospitals of Iran Medical center & Sciences (1991-1999). Prevalence age were children under 10 years (67%) and boys (67%). Clinical symptoms was pain, limping, limit range of motion in Hip joint. Most of patient (83%) had history of respiratory & disease and Trauma. Most of patient had systematic symptomlike fever, anorexia.100% of patients had mild degree of fever. Synovial fluid show clear fluid, raising in W.B.C count (200-2000) increased glucose (more than 60 mg/dl) increase synovial vicosity. All of these symptoms indicates no inflamatory condition. In most cases E.S.R & C.R.P were high. Synovial culture in all cases were negative. Treatment was done by antibiotics or analgesic & rest or combination of two methods. In fact it seems to be an self limited Disease and the treatment is to take rest.
