Background and aim:The theory of mind is the ability to predict and describe the behavior of one's and the other according to mental states and it is necessary for establishing social interactions. research has shown that children with autism face a mental disability with a disability. The main purpose of the present research is to investigate the effect of Ellis's Rational, emotive, behavioral Therapy communication skills training on the promotion of the theory of the mind in children with autism.
Method: The research method is a semi experimental design with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population was 9-10 year old boy autistics students in Kermanshah. 12 students were selected through a convenient sampling method and randomly assigned to two groups of 6 subjects. The theory of mind was used as a tool for collecting information. The experimental group was trained in 13 communication skills sessions. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (covariance analysis).
 Results:  Findings showed that communication skills training had a significant effect on improving the autistic children's theory of mind in the experimental group.
Conclusion: so communicative skills training promoted the the autistic children's theory of mind.
