زمینه و هدف: پرفشاری خون تهدیدی برای سلامت افراد به ویژه زنان می­باشد، در راستای غلبه بر این تهدید هدف از این پژوهش بررسی اثر هشت هفته تمرین مقاومتی بر فشارخون و مقادیر نیتریک اکساید و آپلین در زنان مبتلا به پیش پرفشاری خون می‌باشد.
روش کار: تعداد 24 زن 45-30 ساله مبتلا به پیش پرفشاری خون به صورت تصادفی به دو گروه تمرین و کنترل تقسیم شدند. گروه تمرین سه جلسه در هفته به مدت 8 هفته تمرین مقاومتی داشتند. یک روز پیش و 48 ساعت پس از آخرین جلسه تمرین از آزمودنی­ها خون گرفته شد. تغییرات مقادیر آپلین و نیتریک اکساید به روش الایزا اندازه­گیری شدند. برای مقایسه درون گروهی و بین گروهی به ترتیب از آزمون تی وابسته و تی مستقل در سطح معناداری (05/0>p) استفاده شد.
یافته­ ها: نتایج نشان داد که در گروه تمرین مقادیر آپلین و نیتریک اکساید افزایش معنادار (001/0>p) و فشارخون سیستولی و دیاستولی کاهش معنادار داشتند (001/0>p). اما در گروه کنترل هیچ­گونه تغییر معناداری مشاهده نشد.
نتیجه‌گیری: انجام یک برنامه هشت هفته­ای تمرین مقاومتی با شدت متوسط می­تواند باعث بهبود معنادار فشارخون، آپلین و نیتریک اکساید در زنان مبتلا به پیش پرفشاری خون شود.
